⚖️ MINNESOTA WARRANT RESOLUTION & FREE CRIMINAL LEGAL HELP

Lofton Everyday Solutions (LES) | Community Resource Information

Do you have an outstanding warrant, missed court date, or criminal court matter in Minnesota?

There may be options available to help you understand your warrant, speak with an attorney, or take steps toward resolving the matter. Some Minnesota counties offer warrant-resolution services, free criminal-law clinics, or brief consultations with volunteer attorneys.

📍 HENNEPIN COUNTY — WARRANT HELPLINE

Hennepin County District Court operates a Warrant Helpline for people who need information about an active warrant.

🕗 Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

For eligible cases, the helpline may allow you to schedule a court hearing to address the warrant.

⚠️ Important: Scheduling a hearing does NOT automatically cancel the warrant. The warrant remains active until you appear in court and address the matter with the judge. Not every type of warrant is eligible for scheduling through the helpline.

📍 RAMSEY COUNTY — FREE CRIMINAL DEFENSE LAW CLINIC

Free legal consultations for criminal-law matters.

📅 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month

🕐 1:00–3:00 PM

Call after 10:00 AM on the morning of the clinic to schedule.

⭐ This clinic is open to residents of ANY Minnesota county.

📍 DAKOTA COUNTY — FREE CRIMINAL LAW CLINIC

Free 30-minute telephone consultation with a licensed attorney.

☎️ Dakota County Law Library: 651-438-8080

There are no income restrictions for the clinic. Attorneys provide legal advice but do not provide ongoing representation through the clinic.

📍 WASHINGTON COUNTY — FREE CRIMINAL LAW CLINIC

Free 30-minute consultation with a volunteer attorney for matters including criminal court procedures, traffic tickets, criminal expungement and DANCO orders.

📅 Every Wednesday

🕙 10:00 AM–12:00 PM

Appointment required. You must live in Washington County or have a court case there.

Washington County also has a Criminal Defense Panel Program that may provide brief legal assistance to people charged with a misdemeanor, gross misdemeanor or felony.

📍 ANOKA COUNTY — WARRANT RESOLUTION

Anoka County has held Warrant Resolution Clinics/Law Day events where qualifying individuals have been able to address misdemeanor, gross-misdemeanor and certain lower-level felony warrants.

The May 2026 event has already passed. Do not wait for another clinic if you currently have an active warrant. Contact the court or an attorney about your current options.

☎️ Anoka County Law Library: 763-324-5560

📍 SHERBURNE, WRIGHT, CHISAGO & ISANTI COUNTIES

Central Minnesota Legal Services offers free remote legal-advice clinics for qualifying low-income individuals and families. The subjects handled depend on attorney availability.

Call first and specifically ask whether assistance is currently available for your type of criminal or warrant-related matter.

⚠️ BEFORE YOU GO TO THE COURTHOUSE

If you have an active warrant, consider speaking with an attorney or contacting the appropriate court/warrant program before appearing in person. An active warrant can potentially result in arrest.

Always verify clinic dates, eligibility and availability before traveling. Programs and schedules can change.
